Radio Controlled Cars:
Radio controlled cars, or RC cars as they are also known, are model cars powered by electricity or some sort of fuel source. These cars are driven using a special radio control device that sends a signal to a receiver inside the model car. The operator controls the movements of the RC cars by manipulating a joystick control or a wheel with a trigger on the radio control system.
Radio controlled cars generally fall into one of two categories, hobby or toy grade. The toy radio controlled cars tend to be stop and go cars that are simpler and cheaper than the hobby grade versions. Hobby grade versions can reach a level of complexity that rivals the full size versions they were modeled after.
Toy grade radio cars are generally sold preassembled and designed to be used as is. Hobby grade RC cars often give the hobbyist more hands on flexibility when it comes to building, driving and modifying the cars. The hobby grade cars are usually sold as a kit or partially assembled. Older hobbyists usually graduate from cars to model trains. AHM Model Trains. They require more dedication and attention to to detail than cars do. |
